Golf For Kids

On August 31, 2009, the YMCA will again bring together its family of volunteers, members, and donors for a fun filled day of challenging golf, good food, and great company at the 7th Annual YMCA GOLF FOR KIDS Tournament to be held at Pinehurst Country Club, and we would like to invite you to join us.

The vision for this tournament is to engage local businesses like yours by inviting you to help the YMCA make a dramatic impact on the kids and families in our community. Last year the event raised over $32,000. Here are some of the specific ways these dollars went to work in conjunction with our Annual Strong Kids Campaign:

• 670 children were served each day in our school age child care program at 26 sites throughout the Denver metropolitan area offering parents peace of mind in knowing their children were being cared for in a licensed and nurturing environment.
• Over 17,000 kids participated in the YMCA’s youth sports initiatives during 2008; teaching them basic skills and healthy habits to last a lifetime.
• 3,288 kids participated in swim programs during 2008. Because the YMCA is able to keep our program costs affordable through funding from events such as our golf tournament and annual campaign, these children were able to learn basic swimming skills and water safety that will last throughout their life.

Your commitment to serve as a Corporate Sponsor of this event will allow the YMCA to provide financial assistance to children and families in youth sports, aquatics programs, before and after school programs, and health and wellness programs. Enclosed you will find information about our corporate sponsorship levels and the benefits associated with each level. I also invite you to consider donating gifts and/or door prizes for all golfers and items for our Silent Auction.

• Eight additional guests for dinner following golf
• Opportunity to promote business services or products through a giveaway, coupon, or on-site representation at the tournament and within YMCA Branches.
• Full page ad in the event program
• Signage on all golf carts
• Recognition in the YMCA’s Program Guides which are distributed to over 20,000 families and individuals
• Company link on YMCA Web site for a 3 month period, average 600 hits per day

• Company logo stitched on 150 golfer giveaways (TBD)
• One Foursome – four golfers each receive the day of green fees, cart, lunch, dinner, gift & goody bag
• Four additional guests for dinner following golf

• Choose to sponsor one of the following during the tournament: Lunch, Dinner, Goody Bag, Contest (TBD), Super Ticket or Silent Auction. Company name & logo featured on all collateral materials for the chosen activity
