CASASTART is a collaborative program involving parents, teachers and law enforcement aimed at preventing substance abuse and delinquency. CASASTART serves more than 45 youth in Smith Elementary School and Smiley Middle School.

-	Prevent substance abuse and delinquency among high-risk young people
-	Improve school performance and attendance and encourage connections to positive individuals and institutions
-	Discourage associations with gangs and negative influences
-	Increase opportunities to achieve positive goals
