Summer Camps and Programs

The YMCA of Metropolitan Denver offers a variety of summer programs that promote youth and character development, through day camps, sports camps, swim programs, and leadership. Click on the link below to learn more about a particular program.

Day Camps

Camps run May -Aug. Over 20 Denver metro locations. Weekly, themed day camps, for ages 4-13. Kids participate in age-appropriate activities including enrichment experiences, physical fitness and field trips. Learn more here.

Sports Camps

The YMCA offer a variety of sports camps across the Metro area during the summer including, basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, flag football and more! All camps focus on fundamentals and player development through games and drills. Camps are for players of all ability levels. Learn more here.

Teen Camp

Teen camp is for ages 12-14 and will offer daily field trips to attractions appropriate for this age group. Only at the Arvada YMCA and the Schlessman YMCA in University Hills. This group of teens will have the opportunity to explore the city of Denver and area, learn more here.

Leaders in Training

For ages 11-15, YMCA's Leaders in Training concentrates on character development and leadership skills. Participants will take part in service learning initiatives at local agencies and fun weekly field trips. Available in Aurora, Arvada and Castle Rock. 720 870 2221. Learn more here...

Swimming Lessons

The YMCA of Metropolitan Denver has been providing aquatic programs to your local communities for more than 75 years, teaching thousands of children to swim and to be safe when playing around water. Find the lessons near you. 

Overnight Camps

Camp Chief Ouray in Granby, CO

For over a century, Camp Chief Ouray has been the adventurous playground and traditional overnight camp for kids age 7-17. Campers live in cabins with two counselors and six to nine other children of their own gender and age. Each cabin is under the direct leadership of a college-aged counselor. Counselors receive extensive training at camp prior to the campers' arrival. We maintain a staff-to-camper ratio of 1:5 or lower. Camp Santa Maria in Grant, CO

A summer at YMCA Camp Santa Maria is a life-shaping experience that encourages a spirit of exploration and adventure. Our friendly, qualified and passionate staff strives to create a safe environment and a community where cooperation and understanding prevail. Camp Shady Brook in Deckers, CO

Since 1948, YMCA Camp Shady Brook has welcomed youth to the Pike National Forest as a way to learn, grow and thrive. Our experienced camp leaders provide an exceptional camping experience that fosters teamwork, promotes friendship and builds self-esteem. Campers learn responsible decision-making and build relationships while participating in fun, safe and challenging programs. As a result, Camp Shady Brook has gained the reputation of being “the world as it should be” and campers take home cherished, life-long memories.
