The YMCA operates out of multiple locations in the Aurora area. We provide programing at various HOAs, schools, and at the Southlands Shopping Center. Programs include sports, kids night out, before & after school care, fitness classes and youth programs.
Aurora Family YMCA
Model UN is a unique experience for middle and high school students. Our program is youth-driven! From planning to execution, our program provides an unprecedented simulation of the UN that highlights the themes of collaboration, cultural understanding, and problem solving that are at the core of the organization’s real-life goals. We help students develop their debate skills and find their voice in a one-of-a-kind, multifaceted program that brings together servant leadership, public speaking, and global problem solving.

When teens are given opportunities to get involved, help others, and improve communities, they become Y Leaders. Under the supervision of YMCA staff, Y Leaders create team-based, youth-led projects to address real issues in the community. Y Leaders generally meet two Wednesday evenings a month throughout the school year to identify and plan ways to get involved in their community, participate in service projects, and develop leadership and teamwork skills. Bi-monthly Wednesday meetings take place from 6 pm -7 pm in the YMCA Youth Center.
