CORONA UPDATES AND RESPONSE

While our YMCAs are closed to the public, we are responding to the urgent needs in our community by providing Child Care for families of first responders & other essential workers + distributing food. Also, find more info on Y membership & programs.

Baseball

From t-ball, to coach-pitch, to player-pitch, Aurora YMCA youth baseball teaches kids in preschool to sixth grade the fundamentals of the sport. Kids learn proper bat swinging, throwing and catching techniques, while discovering teamwork and sportsmanship, having fun, and developing a lifelong love of the game.

Youth baseball teams practice once per week and play at least one game a week. All players play, and rules ensure no player spends the season on the bench.

Teams are co-ed, and divisions include: 1st/2nd grade coach-pitch, 3rd/4th grade machine pitch, and 5th/6th grade player-pitch.

Preschool and kindergarten baseball leagues feature family-friendly schedules with shorter, back-to-back practices and games.

The Aurora YMCA offers baseball during the following seasons:

  • Spring 2020 Registration: February 3 - March 6
  • Spring 2020 Season: March 30 - May 16

  • Fall 1 2020 Registration: June 15 - July 17
  • Fall 1 2020 Season: August 10 - October 3

We would like to give a special thanks to our youth sports sponsor:

Join us this summer for our YMCA coach led pre-k and kindergarten youth baseball programs. Participants will have a 20-30 minute practice depending on age group, followed by a 20-30 minute game. Games will be played 3v3 and roster sizes will be limited. We will be constantly reviewing all health guidelines to run the safest program possible. Group gatherings will be limited and only one parent per child will be allowed to attend. We are exploring options on how to offer virtual viewing for all other fans. We will not be doing post game high fives, tunnels or snacks and we will be taking periodic breaks for sanitizing. Parents will be required to complete a symptom check for their child upon check-in and temperatures will be taken. This is a 6 week program. First session will be on June 20th. No program on July 4th.
