Thank you to the nearly 1,000 members who took time to give us your input on our Wellness Center Member Satisfaction Survey. You told us what we can do to improve your experience at the YMCA.

We are pleased that you find our staff welcoming and helpful and appreciated our efforts to adjust to the ever-changing pandemic guidance.

But there are some areas you want us to work on and we are on it.

Here are the high-level results:

Here’s what you told us you wanted us to work on:

Eliminate pool reservations. Status: Lap and family swim reservations stopped as of June 1.

Reservations were a necessity during capacity restrictions, and they also helped assure members a swim time.

Based on your survey input, we eliminated pool reservation requirements and brought back shared lanes.

There is now a schedule for each pool at our centers which shows the open lanes. Classes in the pool still require a reservation. See the schedules.

Also, court reservations for basketball and pickleball have stopped. Reservations are still required for racquetball. Details here

More fitness classes and more variety. Status: New classes were added in June and more to come.

Many members asked for early morning or evening classes to accommodate work schedules, but to also bring back the pre-COVID variety of classes.

Good news! New LES MILLS classes have been added this month as well as HIIT training. Also, more Yoga and senior-friendly fitness class are coming.

For the month of June, you can join small group training which is offered at no cost to members this month.

See the schedule and use the filter to see the Classes offered. And, stay tuned for more schedule updates.

Reinstitute weekend hours. Status: we’re working on it.

As capacity restrictions have lifted and more members are vaccinated, you asked for more weekend hours.

In May, we extended hours at the Arvada-Duncan location. Like many businesses and organizations, we are staffing up and hiring as quickly as we can so that we can expand our hours of operation at more of our wellness centers.

Stay tuned as we will have more news on this in the coming months.
