Proceeds from the evening benefit Arvada community
[Denver, March 18, 2016] – The Susan M. Duncan Family YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver, is traveling back in time to the ‘70s for its Kickin’ It For Kids Fundraiser. All proceeds benefit the children and families in the Arvada community.
“The Kickin’ It For Kids Fundraiser helps us to continue to provide financial assistance that keeps the Y available for kids and families who need us most. We count on the generosity of our members and community to help people of all ages and all walks of life lead a healthy, confident, and connected lifestyle,” says Jen Spettel, executive director of the Susan M. Duncan Family YMCA.
Event goers will have the opportunity to bid on a Cancun vacation, Disneyland Resort passes and a ride to school in an Arvada Fire Department Fire Truck. The live and silent auction also features items from the arts and dining scenes, and much more.
The Kickin’ It For Kids Fundraiser takes place on April 9 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Lamar Street Center (5889 Lamar St., Arvada). Tickets are $55 for individuals and $90 per couple if purchased in advance. The event will feature a silent and live auction, delicious food from Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, desserts from Gold Mine Cupcakes and coffee from 40 Weight Coffee.
Tickets include two complimentary beer and wine drinks and a full cash bar will also be available.
“When you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood,” says Spettel.
The fundraiser is an annual event that benefits the Susan M. Duncan Family YMCA. All of the proceeds from the event benefit programs that directly impact the lives of children and families in the Arvada community. Tickets are available at the front desk at the Susan M.
