Littleton Family YMCA Hosts Be A Hero Fundraiser
Littleton YMCA challenges community to Be a Hero
[Denver, March 18, 2016] – The Littleton Family YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver, is challenging community members to be a hero and support Littleton youth and families by attending the Be A Hero Silent Auction on Friday, April 1.
Attendees will have the option to bid on silent auction items. Ranging from overnight getaways to artwork and sports memorabilia – the most anticipated being a 2016 Super Bowl 50 Denver Broncos signed football – there is not a shortage of baskets to capture the imagination of silent auction participants. In addition to the silent auction, guests can expect an evening of good conversations, light appetizers and beverages.
“The Y steps up where community members are unable to achieve their goals based on financial limitations. The proceeds from this evening will help to serve 1,260 people in the Littleton community. That’s why the theme is fitting for this year - we challenge the community to be a hero for those in need,” said Shannon Bertram, executive director of the Littleton Family YMCA.
The Littleton Family YMCA helps kids from all backgrounds find their ‘superpowers’ through a variety of programs that encourage healthy living and social responsibility. All the proceeds from the evening will go towards reaching the Annual Campaign goal of raising $104,560 to continue to serve the families of Littleton.
The Be A Hero Silent Auction is on Friday, April 1 from at 5:30 – 8 p.m. at The Boardroom Sports Bar & Steakhouse (51 W Dry Creek Ct, Littleton). Tickets are $15 per a person and include light appetizers and a drink ticket. Be a superhero today and order your ticket at www.denverymca.org/littleton.
