YMCA of Metro Denver Appoints New Board Chair and Board Member

[Denver, March 3, 2016] – YMCA of Metropolitan Denver welcomes Rich Karlis as board chair and Carla Dore as the newest board member.
Rich Karlis, former Denver Broncos player, serves as the Y’s Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, chair of the Board Development Committee and member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Golf Classic Committee. Karlis has been volunteering with the YMCA for seven years and was the 2013 Volunteer of the Year. Karlis brings new energy and passion to the Y and focuses on connecting with Y business leaders and engaging board candidates.
“The YMCA plays an important role in the community, and I’m excited to take on this new role and work closely with the phenomenal business leaders and board members to help promote the Y’s message of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility,” says Karlis.
Dore also joins the Board of Trustees. Dore is the president and owner of Workplace Resource Colorado. Her background in sales and marketing is a vital asset to the Y. Dore’s involvement with the Y stems back to her childhood.
“The mission of the Y fits what I love, and having the ability to help kids is really what my passion is. The board has a lot of really good, dedicated members, and I am excited to be a part of it,” says Dore.
The Y is honored to have Karlis and Dore as a part of the team.
