At the YMCA, our goal is to keep sports fun for the kids - and the parents - while teaching valuable life lessons. Our youth sports program emphasizes teamwork, good sportsmanship and skill development for all.

Spring Sports Leagues Information:

Registration for our Winter 2018 season has closed. The current season runs January 8 – March 3.

Indoor Spring Sports Leagues are now open for registration and will be until February 16! The Y's Spring Indoor Season will offer leagues and clinics for Basketball,  Volleyball,  Homeschool P.E. and Sports of All Sorts at locations across the metro area. Program offerings differ at each location.

Our Spring Outdoor Season will offer leagues and clinics for Baseball and Soccer. Registration will be open February 5 - March 9. The season will run April 2 - May 19.

Denver YMCA Youth Basketball

Kids of all ages get in the game with YMCA Youth Basketball. Through coaching, drills and games, kids learn the fundamental skills of basketball while having fun and practicing teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Denver YMCA Youth Flag Football

Our flag football is played 5-on-5 and is designed to help kids learn the rules of the game and the fundamentals through fast-paced games and drills. Sportsmanship, teamwork and having fun are the emphasis.

Team concepts like basic rules, game strategy and mechanics will be introduced as well as work on individual skills like passing, setting and hitting. Our coaches focus on the importance of teamwork as well as individual player skill development.

Behind every YMCA sports teams is a dedicated coach. Inspirational and influential, these selfless volunteers give their all for every practice, every play and every game. 

Being a coach at the YMCA not only benefits the kids, it also gives adults the opportunity to work with and learn from their players. You don't need a long list of coaching experience to get involved with the Y, just basic knowledge of the sport and a desire to teach the fundamentals of the game.
