Teen Leadership Programs
At the YMCA, youth ages 11 to 18 can find opportunities to learn and practice leadership skills and at the same time give back to their communities. Through multiple programs going on year-round, teens build the confidence that comes from civic participation and develop team-building qualities that will help them succeed in high school and college and throughout life. All teen programs run out of the Aurora Family YMCA at 6155 S. Main St., #220, Aurora CO 80016 or call 720 274 5759
Under the supervision of YMCA staff, Y Leaders create team-based, youth-led projects to address real issues in the community. Y Leaders generally meet two Wednesday evenings a month throughout the school year to identify and plan ways to get involved in their community, participate in service projects, and develop leadership and teamwork skills.
Bi-monthly Wednesday meetings take place from 6 -7 pm in the YMCA Youth Center at the Southlands Mall (6155 S. Main St #220 Aurora, CO 80016)
