The Entry Garden for 2022 will highlight the lifetime impact of the Y

DENVER (January 20, 2022) – Colorado Garden Foundation (CGF) announced today a partnership with the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver to bring the Show’s entry garden to life at the 63rd Annual Colorado Garden & Home Show, taking place Feb. 12-20, 2022, at the Colorado Convention Center.

The entry garden, which will encompass 5,500 feet of YMCA-themed interactive displays along with hundreds of flowers in bloom, has been designed and will be installed by Laura and Roger Heath of Town & Country Landscaping, as in years past.

The entry garden will feature the YMCA’s key areas of focus – developing a new generation of changemakers, advocating for overall health and well-being and uplifting communities. One thoughtful component Health has included is a “Tell Your Y Story” video area where attendees can share their personal Y story whether that is swim lessons, summer camp, volunteering or working for the Y, and more.

The Colorado Garden Foundation has also generously awarded the YMCA with a grant to be used to help support its 72,000 members and participants – including children, teens, adults, parents and seniors and the greater community through day camp, out of school time, sports and health programs.

“As a long-established Colorado nonprofit organization, and one that puts ticket proceeds from our shows toward awarding grants across the state, the Entry Garden partnership is an important part of our efforts to support and elevate other local causes,” said Jim Fricke, Executive Director for Colorado Garden Foundation. “The Y supports our community in so many ways, and with great impact. It is an honor to showcase their efforts at the Colorado Garden & Home Show entry garden this year.”

Tickets to the Colorado Garden & Home Show are on sale and can be purchased by visiting the Colorado Garden Foundation’s website: coloradogardenfoundation.org/colorado-garden-home-show/.  YMCA members will receive two free tickets to the show - showing member card fob or barcode at the entrance.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the Colorado Garden Foundation and featured at this year’s Colorado Garden & Home Show,” said Sue Glass, President and CEO, YMCA of Metropolitan Denver. “We welcome the opportunity for Garden Show audiences to discover or re-discover the YMCA a gathering place that inspires, encourages, revitalizes and welcomes all.”

Upon entering the show and experiencing the Entry Garden, show attendees can also attend seminars and theater sessions on a variety of topics, all covered with the cost of admission, along with several inspiring landscaped gardens and ideas. Attendees can also gain inspiration and advice from more than 500 companies from 25 states and Canada that will introduce new technologies in landscaping, gardening, energy-efficient heating and cooling products, window treatments, siding, flooring, lighting, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, patio furniture, gutters, sound systems, storage systems, greenhouses, decks, spas and more.
