To get started, book a FREE 15 minute discovery session with one of our Nutrition Specialists. In this session, you can share more about your goals and learn if we can help.

These sessions can be held on a video call (virtual) or in-person at a YMCA wellness center.

Food can be strongly tied to our unique cultures and traditions. Join our health and wellbeing team to explore the history of Juneteenth through the food traditions tied to the celebration. With the help of our own YMCA community, we’ll cook up some dishes that celebrate African American culture and the history behind these food traditions, with a nutritious twist!

Food provides you with nourishment and energy to get through your days, but in our fast-paced, diet- focused culture, you might forget to pay attention to how food makes you feel. In this 4-part series, led by our nutrition team, you’ll explore the practice of Mindful Eating and how to apply it in your life. Learn to reconnect with your inner guide to nourish yourself and have a balanced relationship with food, while in a safe and supportive small group environment.

Liz Bravman is our Nutrition Specialist based out of the Susan M. Duncan Family YMCA. Liz is a former pediatric nurse who went back to school to receive her Master's in Nutrition Education. She has worked in various community programs around Denver teaching low-income families how to eat healthy on a budget. Since Liz has three active children, she also specializes in helping busy individuals, families, parents and children learn how to keep wellness and lifelong nutrition habits a priority. Contact Liz to learn more and schedule your no-cost 15-minute consultation!


Jen Lease is a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about simplifying the science of nutrition into real life application. She has worked in clinical, community, and corporate wellness settings to provide education around healthy eating and cooking to individuals, families, and kids. With a certification in Health Supportive Culinary Arts, Jen specializes in helping others learn how to navigate the kitchen and find a cooking strategy that supports their healthy eating goals. She loves to bring nutrition education in the form of cooking classes and demonstrations to help you take action and feel confident to prepare simple meals that are nutritious and delicious. In her free time, Jen loves to get outdoors and explore new places and she’s thrilled to be here in Colorado! 


Cami Woomer is passionate about making nutrition fun and easy by meeting clients where they are and incorporating real-life factors when helping clients design and accomplish their nutrition goals. She has experience working with weight loss and diabetes prevention clients, and she understands that lifestyle changes are the key to success with both.
